Throttle response

Are there any tricks to increasing throttle response? I've noticed that when the car is at idle and you blip the gas it pauses for a second before revving. This pause only seems to happen when at idle engine speed. When the motor is already around 2500+ it's instantaneous. Having to blip the gas and wait a second for it to rev is a pain when on the track.

Tighten the throtle cable. 2 hex bolts that hold the bracket on. Loosen those and slide the bracket to the left. There is excessive slack that can be reduced. Check it out.
