f1 racing stage 3 clutch kit
f1 racing stage 3 clutch kit
Was wondering if anyone had any issues in using this clutch? How's the quality of it and will it be worth my money to get one? Or should I go with an act or exedy clutch?
I put one on a 300whp honda, lasted 1500 miles. pretty crappy. If you cant afford to mod a car properly you should not mod the car at all. Save up and get a good clutch. Believe me when i say you don't want to pay for labor twice!
Just get a QuarterMaster Twin disk and you'll be fine don't buy a cheap clutch and waste your money. Might cost a little more the first time but after it goes out you just get a rebuild kit which isnt that expensive and the clutch is brand new again
Exedy stage 2 is a horrible clutch, I had one on my car its some what aggressive to street drive and only lasted about 7,000 miles. Twin disk is way easier to drive on in my opinion and overall a better clutch if you plan to mod your Evo do it right the first time.

it only came up in mind when someone was selling one on craigslist with a fidanza lightweight flywheel for 500, figured i ask before buying. Thanks again for the replies! narrowed my choices down, so i might go with quarter master or exedy twin disk instead.
I've heard many good things about the Exedy Stage 2. No lock out issues and extreme holding power. The only grip is that it grabs hard and if not broken in properly it will chatter.
If you are considering a twin disk chatter shouldn't matter because those twins are very noisy all the time / every shift.
