i have meth kit, br intake, ic, and piping, forge rs recirc bov, gsc s1's, head studs and br exhaust with a hallman pro mbc. I am tuned for 30 psi.

my problem is when i run threw all the gears 1st gear sometimes goes to 30psi then drops right back down to 20 or so then 2nd gear will go to 15 then stop then jump up to 30 and my boost is just so un predictable threw all the gears. Can anybody tell me what my problem is?

 

Have you done a boost leak test yet?

 

Im far from sure... but, you should do a boost leak test. Especally running 30psi you might have a leak

 

boost leak test/log your tune/wastegate preload/bov adjusted correctly

I highly doubt you are boosting 30 psi in first gear either

 

well i actually havnt looked i just assumed that since i was tuned for 30 psi that it was always supposed to go to 30 psi. Now that i think about it i havnt looked at the boost gauge in first gear. Ummmm how do i do boost leak test and should i tighten my spring on my bov or loosen it?

 

i just drove a long way to get tuned a few days ago and just got back home last night..and i found that it doesnt always boost 30.

one time when i was runnin threw all the gears tha boost even dropped down to around 10

 

Maybe you just need to check everything tomorrow in the daytime for leaks...

 

Sounds like something is leaking...although the stock turbo is not known for holding gobs of boost too well.
