sort of concerned about a long exhaust flame.

A friend was riding his bike behind me last night and saw a like 5 ft flame pop out for a good 10 seconds. I saw something behind me but didn't really think twice about it. The car still runs fine but why the hell does it do that? My car has had MAJOOORRRR backfires when I let off the gas after a run as well.

flames out the exhaust are caused by too rich conditions..

It is probably due to your tune. Are you running a cat?

I would pull them out and check regardless. With your mods you should consider running 1 step colder plugs.

Can you post your timing map? Does it happen between shifts or just when you let off the gas?

I dont think your mods require colder plugs. If you had meth i would consider it but you are running pretty conservative boost.

I have no idea how to post that or how to get it lol. It doesn't happen between shifts so much unless I hit the rev limiter which I've done off the launch one time at the track. It's just when I let off the gas but I kinda tinkered with the boost a bit when I used race gas and I didn't mark down where it was on the boost controller before.

DSG tuned my car conservativly because my car was being kinda stubborn. But my car still cruises thats for sure lol

Well if you ever want me to take a look i can. But my guess, and i am not going to start the DSG conversation again, is there is something funky in the tune.
Edit:

If thats the case you may be hitting new load cells that have not been tuned. If so the fuel may be jumping around if hitting rich cells. Like i said if you want to meet up i can take a look.

alright I'll let you know, I bet its my fault to be honest because I've spiked 32 psi a couple times just because the boost controller gets sensitive.
