Yes, I am not able to put up any pics etc today, er tonight reather. I'll get the website updated tomorrow with some info, and link here. Sure, we will offer a better solution than the stock line, got some in stock, it isnt any different than the line we've made for the DSM for a decade. 12mm banjo one end, 10mm banjo the other with -4 SS in the middle, add a FP inline oil filter and voila!

Sorry if this seems newbish (as you can see I am pretty new, lol), but that is a stock oil feed line that was never removed before? My evo only has 5k miles (2006 Evo IX MR), but if it's better for the turbo to have the aftermarket feed line + filter, then I'm all for it... Of course I just want whats best for the car @ 20 psi

I reccomend this also. Not really needed...but reccomended

We use them on turbo'ed Aircraft engines all the time. 60,000 flight hours combined and saw only one turbo failed.

...But i suggest you clean it every oil change too. gives you a idea on what your turbo "might" have chewed on.

Could this be a reason as to why some stock turbos and stock based turbos perform with some variation from the factory?

Robert,

Do you recommend feeding from the head or the oil filter housing?

For some reason I thought years ago (talking DSM's now) it was your suggestion to feed from the filter housing and not the head.

Probably not in that case.

Corrosion shouldnt be your #1 concern... a line filled with oil shouldn't corrode. And if its sitting on a shelf it should be plugged and stored in a dry place. Then cleaned and purged before use.

but i have heard stories of broken banjo bolts, Containments from the lubrication system collecting in the turbo bearings, hard lines pinched from bending and even the brazing failing.

We dont make people buy new oil and water lines with the turbo, but we do recommend our EVO9 turbo install kit which has all the proper parts in it. This kit now includes a braided steel line instead of a MMC hard steel line.

Again, if anyone has bought a Green or Red turbo from us and bought a stock line feel free to send it back for full credit, new or used, towards a new braided line.
