Rattling with Exedy Twin Plate?
If its not one thing its another. Im so fed up with my clutch situation.
After finally, finding an alignment tool(input shaft), that the Mitsu tech claims, just barely was long enough to align everything properly, they call me up yesterday about 15 minutes before closing to let me know that my car is done and that if I can pick it up that day if I get there before they close. If not, the earliest is next tuesday since they are closed today for the holidays. I wasnt able to make it in time, so here I am wondering how my car is.
The service manager also left another interesting tidbit on my voicemail. He says that there is a rattling noise whenever the clutch is pushed in. I personally have not seen/heard the car yet, but Im just curious if anyone else with this setup has experienced this also.
Please post up comments and thoughts.
Now my whole weekend is ruined.

The rattle noise is normal with any clutch that has 2 or more plates. Seen many people with them and it's always the same. Don't worry about it. If people hear that sound and know what it is they should be afraid.

I just purchased one for myself and there was a note in the box.
Please advise driver of vehicle: Installing a sports/performance clutch to suit the vehicle, Mitsu EVO 8 can transfer harmonic tranmitted noises from the engine to the gearbox. This may also cause gearbox rattle. These transmitted noises will in no way effect the performance if the clutch or vehicle and is accepted in the performance industry where engine/clutch mods have been carried out.
Also got a plastic thingy with slotted teeth I take it this is the clucth alignment tool Ford 03 or somethng was printed on it.

Rattle is normal with clutch pedal pushed in. I've got 2000 miles on my Exedy twin so far. I hardly notice the rattling anymore. Engagement off the line can be a little noisy when you slip. It sounds like brakes squeeking. I'm told this is normal due to the material the clutch plates are made out of.
