REALLY HAPPY with my results.
Well to start off I will tell you guys about my car and its and it progression of setups . I am the very proud owner of 06 GG ix MR. The car has just over 60k miles on it, it is more than a DD i basically live in this thing.
I had my stock ix turbo upgraded with a 47 lb/min compressor wheel along with cossie 272's (the earliest batch out for ix's when they had the trigger wheel issue) and ran the car on pump and 100% denatured alky. This netted 342 whp and 330 wtq @25 psi and a 12.2 at 115. Struggling with mr 6 speed hitting the rev limiter before the line
.
This wasn't enough for me so I knew I wanted to go T3. Problem is im in school and was working with rediculously limited funds so a "kit" was out of the question.
I started gathering parts for this project about 8 months ago when I found an XS power manifold on ebay with the downpipe for 65 dollars buy it now. I know these parts are garbage and do take away from the companies that help the evo community but I figured if it looked that bad I would just call it garage art and hang it on my wall lol.
When I got the manifold I knew it had be reworked, So I rewelded all the primaries and added a brace for strength. I ported it in my engines class at school and got it jet coated. After all of that I needed to get a turbo but i had to wait and find the right deal. I finally came across a precision SC6152RE tat was used with supposedly only a thousand miles on it. I jumped at the chance to have the cousin to the 35r for 500 bux.
I bought a Tial 44mm wastegate and had all I needed to get this budget project up and runnen. I fabbed up my own dump tube and downpipe flange, and got some used pte 880cc injectors along with arp headstuds. Blouch turbo hooked me up with my oil feed line and odds and ends.
So total investment on the "kit" was 980 bux haha. I spent 275 on the injectors and 350 on a tune. as you can see in my sig the car made 428whp and 350wtq on a mustang dyno at only 26 psi
.
I would like to say thanks to BLOUCH turbo for the help and advice. www.blouchturbo.com

Best run was 11.69 @ 120 with a poor 1.79 60 foot...she definately has more in her

Great job piecing together your own turbo kit, with good results!
What elevation are you at? The reason I ask is, a 120mph trap seems a tad low for 428whp. I dyno'd 407whp on a Mustang and trapped 122mph 2 days later (Evo Green, 93 + 75% Meth)
Nonetheless, nice car and congrats on 11's.

Yeah that dyno seems a bit high but it's just numbers, but ALSO his car is an MR and he may be shifting to 5th throwing his 1/4 traps speds off compared to a 5 speed...FYI on a mustang my car put down 350 something on the stock turbo but runs 96+ in the 1/8 and traps 118.7 in the 1/4 with the 6 speed..You are shifting to 5th right?

Haha its holden up so what more could I ask for. ANd yes this was a pump alky mix, with very conservatives boost, I am in automotive classes and waiting to build the engine and really crank on the knob haha.
And to the other guy yes I am shifting 5th, in the 2nd run in the video you can hear it cuz the music is down a little at that point. Im not sure how much that affects my trap, its hard to get a comparison as well because most MR's stay away from the dragstrip. On evom's registry there are very few in there and VERY VERY few MR's in the 11's.
The car is cockdiesel on the street... Mostly just comparing the trap of stock turbo (riding out 4th) to this new setup. Best part is I sold my upgraded stock turbo package for 900 bux so for 80 dollars plus the cost of injectors and a tune I picked up 90 whp on a mustang dyno.
I will post the graph on friday as I am school right now and its at home unless Nick from DTM feels like digging it up.
I will resize some picks while im in class and post umm up later today
