Ams 3076 Turbo Upgrade And Minor Headwork?

I Installed The Following On My Evo 9mr
Ams 3076 Turbo Kit
Straight 3inch Back No Cat
Intercooler With Upper And Lower Pipping
Stock Ecu Still
Greddy Profec B Spec 2
22psi
272 Kelfords
Supertech Single Springs And Retainers
Arp Head Studs And Gasket\
880cc Injectors P.t.e
Walboro 255

My Tune Came In At 387whp
316torque
My Redline Still 7800

My Question Is Should I Be Reving Higher Or Is It Normal To Get Tuned At 7800
I Read All The Time People Doing Above 8000 Rpms With The Similar Headwork Yet I Ask The Tuner At Ams And He States I Need To Do The Block. I Really Did Not Understand If Everyone Else I Read Is Reving Higher What Did I Miss. Someone Please Explain I Thought The Block Can Handle 600hp Did I Waste Money On Doing The Headstuff. Or What Someone Please Let Me Know The Deal.

Why Is Every Word In Your Sentence Capitalized?

Anyway do you have a dyno sheet? I'm curious to see where the power drops off on the 3076. I would assume it keeps making power all the way to 7500.

People with bigger turbo's usually rev higher as the bigger turbos keep making power past 8500 thats why they shift around 8500 or 9k.

Sorry bout the caps wasnt even paying attention to that but other than that, its proabably in my best interest to stay within this to be safe. Am pretty sure thats there reason in doing so not to run on the border but a few feet back.

While you may have the head built, that's only half the equation. Your bottom end is still stock. Factory rod bolts don't like 8k+ revs too much. Until you build the block, stick to the 7800rpm limit your tuner set you up for

Exactly. You need to keep in mind that just because the block can make X WHP that doesn't mean it's safe to wind it out to Y RPM.
AMS has the longevity of your block in mind, and rightfully so. If you want to rev it higher you need upgraded rod bolts at a minimum. Building the bottom end would be best though.

thanks everyone for your input especially the 35r but to make really balanced power with that size turbo and more it would cost me more to keep all around compatibility for that size. tranny, transfer, block and more i feel with more upgrades around and some c16 i can get some serious numbers. i only drive the car weekends and summer so theres no beating.as much as a every day driver.
