There are better/easier options than an evo turbo, just get a t3/t4 turbo and call it a day, much easier- cheaper in the long run.

And for the nubs who say SR > KA, you don't know ****, there's just as much support for either engines and both make similar power regardless of displacement. Oh the sr cost 2-3k and the ka is "Free"

exactly! my friends got a sick *** turboed KA....with the money you'll spend to buy and swap in the trendy sr20 you could be twice as fast in the ka's!

The KA and the SR are both great motors. Each has positives and negatives to it.

I personally prefer the KA over the SR.

I spin my KA to 8300 rpms... yep, the motor does like RPMs when the cams and intake are designed for it.

My KA make over one THOUSAND HP and has trapped over 162 mph at 2811 lbs (aprox 850 whp through an AT transmission)

Ka24det is popular for high Torque but Sr20det is better for Drifting, Ka24det is popular on drag world but i like Sr20det on power wise on drifting..

I was swapping SR20's in 97, and have done too many. Today, I prefer the KA. The SRfail has a lot of problems that KAs don't have. The KA is a stouter motor.

I still can't believe people still call them "truck" motors. Every time I hear that, it's the first indication that the guy doesn't know a thing about motors.

I've driven KAs with the stock SR20 turbo, and that setup was awesome. Not too much top end power, but tons of low end torque and response. An Evo 9 turbo should do even better.

These truck motors "Can" run 8's set up right, which is nothing to sneeze at. Sr's are equally nice, people just need to get off the sr's "cack" and realize what works now.

First of all, i am a die hard nissan guy. Yes i love my evo. But i will still buy another 240 and build it.

I have drifted for years now, and can say that the KA is just as respectible engine to build as an SR.

The crankshaft and block are indestructible. With some good rods and low compression pistons, a stock evo turbo will be responsive as HELL down low and midrange on that setup. Will it be a 1/4 mile queen? ....NO. But, it will be nasty fast on the street, and blister the tires at the blip of the throttle which is very important to drift. Response means everything. Quick boost and 350 whp all day on a KA. And its in a chasis that ways 700lbs lighter than an EVO.

DO IT! I plan on using my stock 8 turbo and fmic on my next 240 build to save money and still have a drifting monster.....Just my opinoin......

Your still have to to build the KA, your not going to have to build the SR to get ~350whp out of it reliably.
