I guess you could use a lower gear ratio and make up for the low end torque since the kas is engine torque rather than gear torque. so it really just depends on preference....

KA=SR

But if he's got 4 then he might as well do a KA-T an Sr20 an RB26 and an ls1
my ka on n20 ran right up to 7200 with no problems, also i helped build another turbo ka that revved to 7500 without problems, if you have the car set up right it will rev that high also my 240 with the stock gearing topped out at 152

also i sprayed a 50 shot on the stock motor 189xxx miles for about 8k before i took the motor out for a fresh one, the motors are pretty damn stout, the really only weak part is the pistons.

Great news, my buddy just picked up a KA that use to on it. It has upgraded internals and was in good shape. He accually drove the car, he liked it alot and said the motor ran great. The guy is parting out the car so we managed to get the motor and internals, but someone already has dibs on the turbo, turbo manifold, and intake manifold. He threw in the rest of the car for free so no my buddy has another 240 sitting in his garage

Oh well, I guess we can always sell the rest of the parts.

Thanks for all the support you guys. Also, thanks to all the SR guys, they really are giving use different views on the project.

I tried the stock turbo in my 2.3 ltr (which is really 2.25) and it couldn't keep up. Boost was dropping like a hot potato when the rpms went up. I think it went from 22 psi to 14psi at 7500rpm. It sucked. That was on a 10.5 hotside. So a true 2.4 should perform even worse unless the comp ratio was high.
