Turbo headaches...

Alright, I've been having a problem for the past few days. When I boost to the full 24, my car starts bucking and losing boost, builds it back, loses it and bucks again. It's been bothering me and I can't quite figure it out. I think it may be my blow off leaking, (recirculated Forge valve), or my wastegate (Tial, dumped). I'm not sure. It seems like a leaky valve, but the BoV looks fine when I take it out. Any ideas? This bucking and low power annoys me, my car runs like poopy.

Had your car been running fine at the same 24 PSI previous to the bucking that you are now experiencing?

Yes sir, ran perfectly fine for a long time. That's why I'm confused. The more I think about, the worse my migraine gets.

Do you have an AFR gauge? What is your full modlist, BTW?

The only way to know what's wrong with your car with an internet diagnosis is if you post a log of your car. There could be WAY to many things causing that kind of behavior and we could guess at what it could be, but if you post a log it'll be easier to pinpoint.

If the car is making 24psi, then it doesnt seem like anything is wrong with the turbo.

+1

Sounds like it's fuel/tune related.

Either blowing out spark, or hitting boost cut. Get new sparkplugs (NGKBPR7ES or BPR8ES), try turning down your boost controller just a little bit if that don't fix it.

i had a shop install my ebc for me and they switched the vac lines. it made my car build and lose boost rapidly. it felt like it would cut at 20/25 and then drop to 18 and fly back up over and over.

This has to be the problem, I just changed my plugs to NGK BR8EIX.

I'm going to pop in the BPR8ES and see if that fixes it. I'm probably killing the plugs at 24psi. I should have known it started happening after changing plugs, but I didn't spool the car enough to notice it until a few days after changing.
