rwd evo?

I was wondering what would it take to make a evo rwd? reason im asking is because i have gotten into drifting and the awd is holding me back. I know it would probly be better to just get a 240 or another rwd import but i love my evo lol. I have heard of people just taking out the front drive shafts?

thanks!

RMR did some like that. It consisted with plugs for the axle shafts and a spool to replace the center differential. The transfer case seemed to be the weak link and apparently you will break transfer cases often. It seems that the Japanese tuners just mount the engine from front to back like a conventional RWD and then run a different gear box.

That allows for a better steering angle, too.

Yea it kinda looks like it(check out the cam cover its a MIVEC 4G63) but they certainly did some major modifications to make it rotate and for the turbo to be all the way up there where it is.
Looks interesting though.

lol, Id imagine mounting the turbo higher wasnt that big of a deal when you are turning the engine 90 degrees

Get upgraded Rear LSD, tighten up your rear sway bars, get some not so grippy tires, and mash the pedal to the medal!

dude, english racing did the same thing, all you do is get a skyline GTS-T drive train (thats the RWD skyline for you ignorant folks) theres a custome trannymount setup and then the engine is turned...also thats just a top mount turbo kit, you can buy those for your evo as it sits, routing the intercooler piping is much more difficult lol
