cam question.
cam question.
I am looking to buy a set of cams for my 05 evo....Been looking around and Ive decided to go with 272's. Now my question is what company should I go with?
I will be running the stock turbo for a little longer however, I was going to buy the hks 272's so I did some reading...now I come to find out that not cams are equal.
So my question is which company makes "the best" set of cams. I have put hks behind me and now im looking at companies like BR, BC and Comp. Any input would be great. Thanks.

The winner btw was the Kelfords, or i should say Martin liked them.
Other proven big power cams are JUN, Bucschurs custom grinds, and tomei 280's. ALL which really belong to big powered turbo's.
What do you plan on putting into this car btw? The cams you choose should have an effective range that matches the turbo you want to use.

Can someone school me as to why you don't want aggressive cams for daily driving? I mean I understand they don't idle very well, but is it harder to drive in stop-start traffic? What makes aggressive cams difficult to daily drive?
I daily drive my Evo to work everyday - a whopping 2 miles. There's 2 stops between my house and work - would this be an issue with aggressive cams?

On my first motor my biggest issue with aggressive cams was making it up a hill. I'm in school and there's this rather steep hill that you have to drive up when leaving the residence area, I had to slip the clutch to no end just to get up it.
Basically I made little power downlow.
