Tried searching on the forum and only seemed to find one person running this turbo.
Are there others out there currently running a Borg Warner s258 on their stock block evo?

I may be getting a super deal on this turbo and would like to know how people felt about them.

I will be using the .70 A/R and a custom t3 Manifold.

Questions are, is it too laggy for street? Full boost by what rpms?

I ran an S258 in the .70 housing on my 1G, made 457whp corrected (479whp uncorrected) on a stock engine with FP2 cams, stock intake manifold on pump gas. I saw 28psi at about 4700 rpms. Bear in mind 1Gs have much larger intake ports and 7.8:1 compression. ran 11.82 @ 123 on it, spinning madly the whole pass.

It was a great turbo, but I would've benefitted from more supporting mods like a SMIM for a higher powerband, head studs and a real head gasket so I could run over 30psi with race gas, and more aggressive cams with springs.

the borg warner turbo makes a sick sound when it spools.
