Post Your Widest & Highest Torque Curves: Twin Scroll 35R (or equivalent)

In my never-ending quest to find the widest *and* highest torque curves for any Evo using a twin scroll GT35R (or equivalent like BW S300SX 83/75), I've done a *lot* of searching. Obviously the 4088 is not "equivalent" to the 35R but they're in here, too.

A lot of people are highest HP people; I'm much more of a torque person and even more importantly, width of torque curve at its max height.

This thread is an open invite to post your dyno torque curves, your setup, and provide commentary. Of course, dyno graphs aren't everything as there is significant variability between equipment, conditions, etc. But they're fun to look at.

My personal preference is straight pump gas with stock or stroker block, no meth/alky, etc. but everyone's welcome.

I'll start with the results I've found to date - please accept my apologies if I list something incorrectly.

1) 2.3L Buschur stroker, FP Red, SPI stg 5 head, FP cams 4 Int/5 Exh, Buschur FMIC, AEM EMS, 1200cc injectors, stock intake, stock TB, AMS TB exhaust: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=362803

2) 2.0L Buschur, FP Red, BR stg 3 head, HKS DLI2, BR double pump, 1000cc injectors, BR ported exhaust mani, BR TBE, AEM EMS, BR upper & lower IC pipes, BR ported intake, BR 65mm throttle body: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...evored+stroker

3) 2.0L stock, 272 cams, valvesprings/retainers, FR TS GT35R kit: http://www.lancerregister.com//showt...=198143&page=3 (scroll down to Geoff's post # 36)

4) 2.0L ?, BW S362 turbo (t3, 0.70 A/R?): https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...highlight=s362 (scroll down to post #6).

5) 2.1L ?, 40R turbo, E-85: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...&highlight=40r

7) 2.3L BR, FR SS GT35R kit, BR head: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...t=2.3+twin+35r (post #19)

8) 2.3L, GT35R Turbo (SS?), HKS cams, 1000cc injectors, stock ECU: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ight=gt35r+2.3

9) 2.3L, HTA35R turbo, BR stg 3 head, BR Race FMIC, HKS Twin power, AMS mani/02/downpipe, JDM style catback (unknown mfr?), AMS VSR intake, AEM EMS, BR 272 cams, double pumper, 5 bar map sensor, 1200 cc injectors, BR dual stage boost controller: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...t=2.3+twin+35r

I'm on a 2.4l, Piper cams, AMS HTA 35R, .63 PT housing, Autronic... no dyno down here though but I think it probably makes ridiculous torque. Here is a vid from last time we went to the track. VP Import and 41 psi.

^crcain im interested in understanding why you chose a 2.4l over the 2.3l stroker kit? I ask because im stuck on whether i want to stay 2.0 or go 2.3 both built blocks. However i figure if i do stroke it then why not go with the 4g64 since it is a 2.4l and get the most torque but it seems that many people do not run them.

Tim Zimmer's 2.3L 4G63 with 4088R TS T4 (.96 A/R) at 40psi on Q16.

Here is an older dynochart showing 740whp and 696 ft/lbs:

http://www.dsmtuners.com/gallery/sho...mageuser=28723

He is now up to 753whp and 715 ft/lbs. I feel that speaks pretty well for what TS does. Oh, and it generates 40psi by 4200rpm.

Build details here:
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/memb...s69-28723.html

Ignore the 1/4 perf data - it's old.

That's *crazy* awesome power & torque; what'll it do on pump?

I don't know. I do know he's broken a few trannies - not hard to understand why!

Basically, this illustrates what this TS setup can do. If one has a TS 4088R and isn't getting this type of power, it isn't the fault of the turbo.

Just because it is a touch more displacement and slightly better rod to stroke ratio. But really I suspect a 2.3 and a 2.4 are very close and since most shops only do the 2.3 I can understand why 2.3 is more popular. Hope that helps.

heres my 2.3 35r .63 result... on Dyno Dynamics which read much lower than DynoJet, and a bit lower than Mustang dynos.

running 27psi on 98 octane pump fuel in Australia, equivalent to 91~93 octane in USA.

Car having some issues with coil packs, which will will soon be upgraded.

Also need fuel system is being put in which should allow some more boost.

yeah torque is very flat, it drops off a bit as the car is leaning out due to fueling issue at high rpm.

Also my stock coil packs are not up to the task, im looking around for a high power upgrade.

The Unit for torque is "Tractive Force" or "N", im not sure of the calculations to ft/lbs or Nm but i'd love to know!!!!

As a comparison a Garrett 3071r on 20psi on pump fuel made 5500N on the same dyno and the car was a mid 12 sec car.
