B.O.V question

hey guys ... I'm currently shopping for a Blowoff valve for my '03 EVO VIII. I have a friend that wants to sell me the Turbo XS RFL... Will this blowoff be healthy to run in my car? And also I hear that blowoff valves are known to make your car stall? Is this true? HELP

Dont do it I had one, they become a PITA afterwards.
These should be your choices:
APS twin vent
Forge RS
Tial
Synapse

if you want it for the sound, get an aftermarket intake (AEM or HKS). This will increase the sound of the BOV, even recirculated. Since you have a plastic 8 BOV, get the 9 BOV. The only one that whistles recirculated off the top of my head is the greddy type S, which was discontinued.

I agree w/ the 9 BOV recommendation. It's the most reliable and easy to drive with. If you want to hear more of the noise then get an intake like an AEM and you'll get a louder sound without sacrificing drivability. I've got this setup on my 8 and it's great.

your best bet if you want a BOV is to get one that recirculates so you dont have the problem of stalling, i have the ssqv. the healthiest to run in your car would be the evo 9 mr stoc metal one your best bet anone can agree on that will hold up to 30 to 35 psi no problem... good luck man

Do it simple and just get yourself an EVO9 BOV. It will be plenty and I believe will hold up to 26psiG while the EVO8 BOV's are known to leak at much lower levels.
