HELP.... I have a Problem

I just re-installed my transmission, and built up Transfer case, back into my 05 MR, and after i got it all done, and back together, i put trans fluid back in to my tranny, and when i finished doing that pulled the filler off on the transfer case, and the tranny fluid started coming out of it, anyone may know what be wrong, maybe the O-ring on the transfer case to the transmission or you guys and gals think its something else. thanks for the help if you all can give me some.

Take the transfer case back out and inspect it thoroughly. You do not want to put it back the way it is right now. Also, was your transfer case drained completely before putting it back on the tranny?

Hey Mike-

I just uploaded the Evo VIII manual, its a ZIP file - here's the link:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=J8R5AN3U

When you download it - check the section called 'Manual Transaxle Overhaul' (GR00005400-22B.pdf). It shows the many different O-Rings and oil seals on the transmission and on the transfer case.

Hope everything works out man.

I blew my clutch at the drag strip - and have been working on my car now in my spare time after work.
Its ALMOST done...and when I was putting everything back together I broke the boot on my lower ball joint and my outer tie rod ends were shot...So if it wasn't for the suspension I would be done....oh well-

It sounds like you might have pinched one of the o-rings between the tranny and t-case when you assembled them back together. You gotta be really careful w/ those o-rings. Lube them up w/ oil when you're sliding the t-case back onto the tranny.
