problems w. passenger output shaft to T-Case fittings

so im about 90% done with my clutch, just installed a ACT HDSS. Only thing thats holding me back is that the output shaft on the passenger side where it connects to the t-case looks kinda long. i took a few pictures and a measurement of about 5inches from the tcase to the end of the shaft of it sticking out towards the passenger side. Was wondering if anyone knows about this from the top of their head. Is this output shaft supposed to be sitting out this far(5inches out)? or should it be pushed in a little but more into the transfer case? Thanks

Much deeper into the tc. It will lock in place to where if you tug on it, it won't move. That definitely looks out too far. Are you using evomoto.com for their how to?

yeah i am, i just didnt have an idea how far its supposed to sit, cause it didnt show a picture of the tcase with the output shaft on it. but yeah i figured it was supposed to sit in alot closer but the problem is it wont slide in anymore unless its kinda tough to push in. i did it on the drivers side, output shaft slid in with just a simple push.

Try to switch sides on the two shafts, the long one goes on the driver side.

Don"t wory, did the same thing myself after instructions from the so called "expert" ;-)
A slide hammer would def make your life easier ! i used it to remove the driveshaft from mine. You dont have to split the tcase, it"s the clip thats stuck

damn, its not coming out. this is my setup i got two wrenches in between the bolts with washers against the bolt and and axles so nothing gets damaged. one wrench pointed up and pointed down and one of my friends is tuggin on the top wrench while im hittin the bottom wrench with a large piece of wood. im hammering the wood as hard as i can but its still not popping out. would i just be better off with the slide hammer cause its not giving in at all.
