Damn I wanted to see the power this thing puts down... Someone has to do the Toda kit, because we'll never know how these JDM kits manufacturerd with the highest tolerances compare to the Buschurs, AMS & Pruven combos...

TODA is nice but I just wanted the best bang for the buck.

Why wait for someone else to be the guinea pig? Why don't you do it yourself? Why even bother with TODA in the first place when you have more than enough US tuners that can do it with the same quality and at a cheaper price.

It's cheaper because it's a DSM tuner and DSMs have been doing strokers for years now. Hope you don't break anything, strokers are notorious for building massive torque (and breaking drivetrain parts).

You are comparing a company that buys parts off the shelf with tuners in Japan who make their own engine parts in house. Of course they will be more expensive if they have to pay people to make them, buy the equipment ect.

Doing a stroker on a EVO 8 motor is exactly the same thing as doing a stroker on a DSM motor. If built correctly the results are intoxicating. It is by the simplist description a 20% bigger motor. The revabilty is only slightly reduced compared to 2.0. And this is a good thing anyway with how are trannies shift.

I have been running a 2.4 for almost two years. I run a 25g which is suppossed to be a slow spooling turbo. NOT! My car is unbelievable fun to drive. Has run 11.0 at 126 on pump gas. Has a street/track friendly progressive powerband. Does NOT have parts breaking torque. That is simply bad internet info.

All the fastest EVOs have larger displacement than 2.0. Jun,HKS,Norris, etc.

If I can offer one drawback to the stroker it would be this: timing.
You do not want to run the same timing maps as a 2.0. You definately want to run at least an e-manage.
