Talking Stroker Kit

Well today I ordered my stroker kit from TODA Racing. Hopefully my car will be running again soon. All I need now is a new oil pump and head gasket. Here's a link for the kit http://www.todaracing.com/products/m...oker_kit.html.

The only real negative affect that I can think of is not being able to rev as high as a 2.0L. But other than that its all good.

Ok, heres the update. I'm not doing the TODA kit any more, instead I'm getting a custom kit put together by AMS. The kit will include pistons, rods, bearings, oil pump, main studs, head studs, springs, retainers, gasket job, valve job. Also there will be head work to go along with it. I will have dyno sheets for u guys after everythin is done (probably in a month or so). Estimates for the car are 400+whp . There is also a good chance that I will be getting a EVO 6 TME turbo for now just because mine is blown.

good call on the change from the TODA kit. i was never a fan of their engine internal stuff. i also talked to AMS yesterday and they told me about you. they are great guys and they sure know their stuff so i am sure that Martin can take good care of your car and it will be amazing.

EVO-Bill, why the change of heart from the Toda package? Not a good reputation? I was considering purchasing the same kit. an extra .3 or .4 liters would make it much more torquey. Will this AMS kit be the same size upgrade? Will they produce more than one? If so, what are prices likely to be? I'm looking foward to seeing your results from the stroker kit so let me know what happens. Again, I am also very interested in the same upgrade so any information on pricing and availability would be greatly appreciated. pm me for my email address if that's easier. Thanks.

I like 2.0 L also - - the evo engine can do 9,000 rpm with the pruven rods on a 2.0 L - I would hate to give that up

I didn't want to get the TODA because by doing a custom built AMS kit would give me more for the money. I would get almost a completely built race engine for the same price of the TODA kit. I'm not saying it's a bad kit or anything, but I just want to get the best bang for my buck. Oh Tim at AMS, his car with the same setup also revs to 9000rpms .
