I am currently looking at a full exhasut setup for my 2004 EVO 8. My curiosity is this, on most sites, when you look at the 02 housing and the downpipe, they don't list much on specs or measurments of the 02 housing as they do with listing 3" on all downpipes. So my question is, how does one mate one to the other, if no website gives specific specs to their respective O2 housing. What is the stock diameter of the 02 housing and downpipe on my car currently?

the stock o2 housing utilizes a donut gasket with the stock exhaust as well as most aftermarket set ups

buschur is an exception...they just slip into each other

 

I guess I should be more specific. Are the Falanges of the aftermarket O2 Housings made for 3" connection to the 3" downpipes when they dont list specific specs on that.?

Ok, to further my investigation,

FOund a nice Turbo manifold with respective 02 housing. Looking at another manufacturer for the DP and Catback...

THis is what I was refereing to when no site lists any measurments for any 02 housing. The rest of the TBE is all 3". Just making sure all 02 housing are 3 inch...

Is my stock unit a 3" and the DP bottles it down to a 2.5, or is the stock unit all 2.5 before the cat?
