Do you have any mods? I seem to remember someone having this problem after installing a turbo timer. And have you checked all the fuses?

hey, my car recently had the same problem... but im not an evo .. but im guessin it should be relatively the same... the fuses are on different circuits ... on my car theres two 10amp fuses for the left front corner light and the rear parking light and vice versa for the right side. Problem with mine was the fuse kept shorting cause something was shorting but i couldnt find out where.. i took it to my shop to see if they knew and they said that underneath my trunk... by the license plate lite.. theres a connector that had gotten unplugged because i just worked on my system and we took out the trunk to fit a box in there =D... i know this might not help at all but just tellin u what i experienced to see if it helps any... so recap... check ur fuse... right and left are on separate circuits.. ur brake light is going to work regardless cause its a safety i guess if ur lights short out, they want ur brake to still work, remember if u did any recent mods where u had to wire anything or ground wires..

good luck and hope everything gets fixed

It looks like the left & right are on separate circuits/relays.
