Moaning sound when downshifting

It just started today. When I am downshifting with rev matching I hear a moaning sound as I am releasing my clutch at the top of the release point. I did a search and found one post that might think it is the throw out bearing. Can anyone else speculate to the cause?

My stock clutch used to do this untill I replaced with the ACT. I'm guessing it was the TOB as well. If its more a squeek try lubing the pedal assembly joints

Thanks for the response gsrboi. It's not a squeak. I'm going to replace my fluids and see if that helps.

I replaced all my fluids and the sound is still there. Does anybody else have any input on what this might be?

I don't drive it hard; maybe the occasional spirited run on the road, but nothing too serious.

It's not a whine. It is a moaning/groaning sound when I downshift and release the clutch. I know the tc whine is constant and gets louder. This is neither.

Are you sure you are rev matching properly? When I would have my bro or sister drive my car, I'd hear the sound you are explaining, however when they downshifted, they weren't rev matching and it puts a huge load on the drivetrain, thus the sound you are hearing. If I rev match properly when downshifting, I NEVER get the sound.

It only does it for a split second right before the clutch fully engages, right?

thats from downshifting at high rpms, you put alot of load on the trans. does nothing from driving hard. TOB is your answer.

Thank you all for your answers and confirming my suspicions. My clutch was starting to slip anyway so I might as well go ahead and order a new clutch with new TOB.
