boost gauge readings

boost gauge readings

I just installed jun boost gauge on my stock evo,
but I noticed that vacum is at 49cm/hg at idle,is this normal?
Please let me know what you think

Boost peak
1st gear at 6500rpm 1.2 bar
2nd 6500 1.25
3rd 5500 1.25
4th 4500 1.3
6th 3000 1.3


Vacum
on idle when i start car reads 49 (cmHg) centimeter mercury

Crusing steady at 3000rpms
1st gear 50(cmHg)
2nd 50
3rd 50
4th 25
5th 10

how come does the boost get higher with gears?
Sorry im a newbie
1st gear at 6500rpm 1.2 bar
2nd 6500 1.25
3rd 5500 1.25
4th 4500 1.3
6th 3000 1.3

Make sure ur peak post is in 3 and 4 gears (usually 4th). U dont want your 1st or 2nd gear reaching your desired boost.

ok so boost is ok, but what about vacum, ?

same here i have a vacum prob to i am reading like 24 in of vacum at crusing with foot off gas
