Help: Spun A Rod bearing

Doing the AMS 2.3 Stroker with the oliver rods. Just wondering, what are the chances that i scratched the cylinder wall bad enough that i will have to bore it? I'm just curious because i am gonna take the head off and look, but i was just curious. because if its bad enough, the kit can come with stock bore pistons or .02 over. Thank you everyone for your help in advance

if you spun a rod bearing why would you scratch the cylinder wall?

it is a remote possibility that the metal shavings from the spun bearing would make up past the oil control ring or get trapped in between it and the cylinder wall, thus causing scoring. Anyone who has spun a bearing and seen the aftermath in the oil pan can attest to the fact that you oil pan will look like it has glitter in it.

I would think that a hone job with a torque plate would be the min required for rebuild. When you pull the head and inspect the walls, if you see scratches, see if they will catch your finger nail. If not, chances are a good hone (as long as not too much metal is removed) would solve you prob. But it needs to be done with a torque plate installed. Otherwise you final hone will result in a warped cylinder once you torque the head down. A reputable machine shop can answer all your concerns.
