My car seems to be stuck in warm up mode!!!!

My car seems to be stuck in warm up mode and seems to take forever to reach normal operating temperature. If it it does reach normal operating temperature then it fluctuates randomly every couple of minutes give or take 30 degrees which is not normal. I was thinking maybe my thermostat is stuck but it started after I installed my GM BCS. I don't see how that caused this problem but I do not want to rule that out. Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Sounds like your thermostat to me. I dont think it would have anything to do with your BCS.

Did you install an inline resistor with your BCS (can damage ECU driver without one).

I would take a laser thermometer and see what the actual temp is. It seems like your just goin by what the gauge says. Then you can go further into the diagnosis of the car.

You can tell by the idle that it is not just a faulty gauge.

Rather then messing with it, I suggest you swap out the thermostat right away. If that doesn't fix it then you are out a few bucks and a hours time. You will have to go to the dealer for the thermostat, the books at the parts houses code for the wrong thermostat.
