buddy of mine sold his evo 8 and has a unorthodox crankpully left over.. he gave it to me but i just wanna make sure it will benifit at all by putting it on... notice a difference or not? i searched but i all i really come up with is regular ol lancer threads about them. thanks your the help fellas

 

I'm trying to find the Unorthodox SS kit for my car. I had this kit on my RSX and it made a big difference. the pulleys were 20lbs lighter than stock. less rotating weight = more power

 

I'm running the 1st gen aluminum Fluidampr on my car....

As for performance, I'm not sure if I gained anything.

 

I wouldn't run any crank pulley on a 4 cyl motor that didn't have a dampener like the Fluidamr/OEM does. The rotational mass you save isn't worth sacrificing your engine.

Both Fluidampr and ATI make products for the 4G63 engine.

 

There is a big difference between a HP harmonic balancer (like the Fluidampr and ATI) and a undamped pulley. The former are good; the latter is very bad.
