Question Time Attack Engine

so here are my questions:

2006 evo 9 GSR is the car going to be converted. 20k is the budget.

IF i were to purchase from a vendor, a 2.3/2.4 time attack engine with reliable HP to saaaayy-800hp on race gas, what do you think it would cost??

IF i were to have one built to MY specs, who would be the top choice to build it and why??

IF YOU were to build one with the same goal in mind, what parts would you chose and why??

big vendors are welcome and encouraged to join in.

discuss...

How did you get a 2006 Evo VIII? I thought that all Evos produced in 2006 were IX designation.

2.2 if done right only loses 60cc to the 2.3 and will still rev higher than 8500 reliably. I dont know that you would always have to rev it that high but the main thing is track size. Building 800hp and not having an engine that is responsive enough on a tight track is pointless. The best spool, transient response, and power are what should determine the turbo. On a big open track where corner speeds are high then the 800hp becomes easier to justify.

/\ hahahahha thanks Nils....

i just dont want to let the cat out of the bag. this is a co op project for driver that used to drive in the American Iron series....Nils may even have seen this driver at Buttonwillow during his racing season. he just recently came back from Germany after working for a company over there for the last few years.
that is all for now.

back on track....

i agree with you 10000% it will be on the "bigger tracks".

You are just not going to have a high hp time attack motor and be reliable period. You are going to break stuff regardless and the more power your pushing the more stuff thats going to break. Best of luck with your project and you can't go wrong with any of the vendors mentioned
