Exactly what I am doing. My car is going in Thursday to have the tranny, transfer case, and rear end drained and re-filled. This is just to make sure there aren't any bits floating around in there that shouldn't be. Then the line goes on, the clutch restrictor comes out, and I'm off to tear up a road course or 2.

Why is the one from Alamo $70 while the one from Lancershop.com is $49? Is one better than the other?
The Alamo line is actually $59 plus shipping, looking at the pic on Lancershop.com, it is not the same. It does not appear to have the center fitting, cannot tell any more from the pic regarding anything else. I can tell you the Alamo line is very high quality, don't know about the Lancershop.com line.

There seems to be some debate over that, but since just driving your EVO seems to void the warranty then probably yes.

I'll ask when I take mine in. Hell, I may even have the dealership put it on if the price is right.

Listen, if they're going to bone you over a clutch line, drive that sum ***** through their showroom window and whiz on their service managers head...

...sorry...don't know what came over me...

Installed mine last night. It's great. Much more positive engagement can be felt through the pedal. Shifting is much better. You can tell it's grabbing pretty good when you slam a gear.

If you are serious about driving your Evo, get this line. You won't regret it one bit.

I'm getting the SS line from lancershop soon, but I have talked with a few pros and they do not recommend removing the restrictor. They said to leave it in unless i'm a serious drag racer or something. They said I will have a much better pedal feel, but the restrictor really is a safety piece and should be left in unless i am a serious racer as it does put alot of wear on the rest of the tranny

I would say just be careful. Don't do any redline dumps and you should be okay. Of course, I've heard people say that is how you should launch, but I'd rather wear my clutch out than break my trans/shafts/center dif.

Center fitting is the part that goes into a bracket...

I don't think the ones from Lancershop.com comes with it.. check their pic on their website... so basicly it is looser compared to stock or Alamo Motorsports ones...
