i'm working on a friends evo 4 while he is away.

I removed the air con pump and fitted a shorter belt.

The problem i have is that the power steerin pump pulley shired off.

I have fitted a new power steering pump and new belt. and the same thing has happened.

i read a post on this forum giving the size of the belt when removing the air con. the belt size i have is correct.

I would like to know if anyone else has had this problem and how they got round it. It does seem that there is a lot o load on the powersteerin pump pulley.

Also does any one have or know where i can get another power steering pump from. I'm based in the midlands.

Any help would be great.

 

Plese tell me if i am wrong but would i be right in saying the evo4 rs comes without aircon??

If so is the power steering pump the same part numbers?

And does any have a picture of the powersteering pump set up on an evo4rs
