Controlling the boost: Look for wastegate pressure, (May be too high if you're trying to run low boost)
Check your O2 housing and downpipe for restrictions. You may be surprised.
Port the turbine side of the turbo if you're trying to run above 30 psi. Even if you're not, it should get ported. There's an answer to every problem, just eliminate each obstacle, one at a time.

I wont say names or point fingers, all I'll say is the person who told me this is quite knowledgeable about turbos. That's why I took it seriously. Maybe I'll wait a few months to buy a red to make sure no one has any problems.

What psi is the majority of red owners running their turbos at on pump gas?

this is not true at all... there have been no issues of creep with the production versions of the BBK...

there was a car with a 2.3 using an electronic controller, with upgraded actuator (with 4 turns of preload), and STOCK turbine and housing with some creep...

that was in the test phases with a clipped stock turbine etc...

porting and polishing is an option to our clients as the portwork is awesome.....

our turbo and the red are great turbos, they just fit a different niche.

I think some of the road course guys prefer 23psi and more timing to keep the heat soak in check, otherwise I suggest 25psi minimum.

Will you put up your complete modlist?

Sounds like someone has (or will soon have) something to sell you

Sorry to get pissy, but about all the questions one could ever have about the Red have answers already posted in other threads. People fail to look through the threads with the best info... usually the LONG threads!

There are no threads of failed Red turbos scattered about...

BTW this is not a shot at the OP, but at all the people who "hear" something and fail to search the forum for the answers. If you got Einstein and Newton in the same room, I'm sure tempers would fly there too. Just because someone is knowledgeable, does not mean their particular opinion is correct. I disagree with knowledgeable people, sometimes I prove right, sometimes wrong. However, I don't usually go against a majority experience contrary to my opinion.
