anyone got IAT logs for perrin (or any non stock) intake

Hi Guys,

I am looking at getting the perrin intake kit, but want to make sure that it wont heatsoak more than the stock airbox.

anyone got any IAT logs for like idle+cruise+pull to compare the stock airbox vs aftermarket intake?

OR - is it possible to reuse the stock airbox with the perrin inside it?

any other ideas?

Cheers
Dave.

The Perrin is a very good system; you'll be satisfied. Even when the intake temps rise as you sit and idle, once you get moving they drop very quickly due to good air movement in the engine bay.

I would just leave the filter open rather than closing off incoming air with a box. Intake temps at idle/not moving will raise a bit more with an open filter compared to the stock airbox, but you'll be shocked at how quickly the values drop with a little bit of movement in 1st gear. Ceramic coated exhaust manifold, turbine housing, and o2 housing are also great ways to help keep underhood temps down. I don't have any hard values, but when I pop the hood I feel a lot less heat rising than I did before the coated stuff.
