HKS CAM GEARS HKS 22004-AM001
HKS TIMING BELT HKS 24999-AM001
HKS HEAD GASKET HKS 23001-AM004

HKS GT TURBO KIT GT3037S

Started with a spare EVO 7 block that got crack tested, cleaned, machined and 0.00mm decked.

Bore shot.

Time to bolt the crank up

Crank shaft end play check. Well within manual limits.

Pistons installed

Head studs and 1.2mm gasket

New Evo 8 head with the supertech valves. The combustion chambers got a bit of work done at the machine shop.

Shot into the exhaust ports. ports cleaned up and matched.

Head bolted down using ARP 3 step instructions

After reading lots of posts about balance shafts I decided to go for the machined down option. Machine shop did a good job of machining the weights off.

Shot of balance shaft installed into oil pump and front cover.

Shaft in block

Dummy fitting the GT3037S kit

Pickup, baffle and oil pan fitted

The motor as it stands now. Motor goes into car in January and if it dosn't make 400 whp on 98RON a GT35 and water meths will get thrown at it

WOW very clean build, great job.

I've got the same 3037 turbo kit (although I converted to external wasetgate dump) and am considering a 2.3 stroker, so I'll be really interested to see your results; especially spool-up.

Good luck
