There are many things it could be. I would check plugs first. While you are taking apart that area of the car look directly at the FPR (Fuel Pressure Regulator) and make sure that the Vac/boost lines are all secure and non have come loose. Sometimes the solenoid also fails and or has a broken end to it from faulty installs.
If you give me a call we can set something up or we can try and help you over the phone a bit too.

Sounds to me like its an ignition issue. I would change the plugs, then if you did not get tuned, go get your self a xmas present

Did you get tuned after the install of your mods?

keep us posted

Yea I was in 5th gear the other day and I heard a loud pop too....my lower intercooler pipe blew off, lol. Seriously though, It is definately some sort of cut. I had my boost controller set too high and it was cutting me off as well. I turned my boost down to about 20psi and it runs like a champ. like everyone else was saying...could be plugs too.

I had the exact same problem...either get a tune or take off your mods...you pick.
