another o2 sensor question, but different.

Ok I have a 05 MR & w- a few mods, have been using the mechnical o2 fix-nonfoulers 2 of them for a year now with no problems . but now I get codes, P0137 & P0141. the only thing that changed is when replacing my clutch I just unbolted the downpipe unpluged the o2 sensor from inside the car & sliped the whole exhaust off the hangers, never taking the sensor-nonfoulers out the bung. the clutch job took 2 separate saturdays so the the car sat with out battery & exhaust for 3 weeks. now if I've searched & read corectly these codes are telling me my sensor went bad. but does this make any since? I don't think the car lost anything in the comp. cause my 2-step is still there. thanx to anyone with some insight. sorry so long just wanted to give all the details

Sensors fail. 137 is low voltage, 141 is a dead heater wire. Just go to your local parts store and pick up a universal rear o2 and splice it in - about 80 bucks.

Search for the codes thread - there's a list of every code and what it translates to.

Or buy a brand new o2 sensor that doesn't even need splicing for $50

that same exact thing happened to me! I cleared the codes twice, and after driving several times, hasn't returned. Not sure what caused it, but it hasn't come back. Maybe try clearing the codes a couple times, and see if they return. Mine didn't..

Where can you get a new plug-in-play for $50?

didn't work that easy for me. I have a obd2 scanner that can read parameters & clear on the run. & it always returns in 30 second. or so.
