I will be moving down to Texas from Connecticut but have a slight problem. I am tuned for 93 but the closest thing I can find would be Shell V-Power 92. So will I have to get a retune or will octane boost be sufficient enough?

IMO Why don't you just lower the boost a # or so, and later on get retuned when you've done more stuff. I highly doubt you were tuned aggresive enough to cause any knock with 1 less oct point. And off the shelf octane boost sucks, the 5 points it offers to raise make it 92.5..

Do you have a laptop, Tactrix cable, and EVOscan? If not, that's all you need.
Then you can data log once you fill up with the 92. I'm the cautious type, so I would probably lower the boost a few psi and then turn up the wick while data logging and monitoring the tune with the new fuel.
Most likely you will need to either (a) enrich your fuel, (b) pull a wee bit of timing, or (c) lower boost a wee bit, or, some combination thereof.
You may be just fine as-is. Data logging is the key. And and it is so easy and inexpensive with our EVO's.

yeah ive got a laptop, getting a tactrix cable when im home for exodus leave and i could always buy evoscan. the weather is going to be real hot in texas so im more worreid about knock during the summer months...getting turboxs fmic and ets licp when i get back also so that should help out a little correct? i was hoping i wouldnt have to lower the boost but if i lose a few hp at make sure i dont detonate i guess i can live with that..

Why don't you just call, Matt, your tuner and ask him? He would be the one to know how agressive your particular ECU tune is.
I'd think that there should be enough of a fudge factor in your 93 octane tune to compensate for the possibility of a bad batch of 93 octane gas, and a bad tankful of 93 octane gas probably isn't that different from the average quality tank of 92 gas you'll find down in Texas.
What, me worry?

fill it with 92...go log it, if its knocking very pull then yeah you probably need to make a change - if not f-it and have fun.
Trust thy knock sensor.......

how much hp do you think i'd lose by decreasing boost say by 1 psi? also do you think it would matter when i get my turboxs fmic or does intercooling have nothing to do with knock?

I have used both and no difference at all. You should be ok. Gas is always different even if you always get 93. Just turn the boost down a bit if your sacred.
would an upgraded fmic affect knock? or does it control knock by the temperature of the air going into the intake manifold versus octane of the gasoline?

Depends on the tune. I was tuned on Sheetz 93 (which I think may have a higher ethanol content) anyways, any other 93 and the car isn't the same.

Where are you moving to in Texas? I get 93 anywhere I go and have lived here for almost 40 yrs...

Lowering the boost doesnt keep the motor from knocking, it really also depends on how the tuner tuned the car. Was it a very aggressive tune, whats the timing and afr's look like?
im stationed at goodfellow afb (im in the army though) and cant find 93 at any of the shell stations in san angelo. they all have 91 or 92. dunno about the timing maps but i know afr anywhere past say 4000 rpm is i think 11.5 or 11.4
