With your mods and being in Brazil, it wouldnt be a bad idea. It will offer a little better cooling simply because it's larger and more efficient. I have a thick one, and can BARELY fit it with a larger turbo and wastegate. I'm switching back to stock, because it will fit with my setup.

Can the stock fan be used with the Koyo or do you need a slim one?

the slim spal fans flow more air than oem from what I hear anyways. Even if you can fit the stock one, the aftermarket ones should be better.

bigger fan and running 100% distilled, no antifreeze, water since it doesn't freeze in brazil? Or you could hook up fan switch and keep it on when more cooling is needed.

I believe coolant actually raises the boiling point of the water in the cooling system. Wouldn't be a bad idea to run a 50/50 mix.

I have never found an after market slim fan the flows near the stock ones. Likely doesnt exist because the electric motor is shrunk in size. spal fans do no flow more than stock ones. they are at the top of after market though.

They can if you wire them up to be constantly on( toggle switch) with the ignition on.

not even close to true. I live in Florida. hardest state in US to keep car running cool. I have done sufficient testing of fans to know what I am talking about.

this

it also lubricates the water pump and prevents rust and corrosion.
