Samco/Perrin inake hose
Wanted some input on these two intake tubes from ppl who use them or have in the past. I'm replacing my Injen setup with a Nsei piping kit and am open to suggestions for an intake/filter replacement.
Also considering the HKS Suction reloaded setup, but seems pricey for all that is included.

I dunno about those intake tubes, those are the silicone ones right? I'd be afraid that they would collapse. I would get an intake thats a hard pipe. Why do you think every other intake on the market is a hard pipe and not silicone? The ETS intake is nice and very well priced.

That Perrin intake is one of the best intakes out there right now, do a search, there was a huge thread about it not so long ago. Its the intake I run, and I couldn't be happier with it, no issues when I got it tuned.

I was also looking at the ETS intake as well. I just don't like that angled air filter look that it and a buschur intake has. Lots of people seem to say the HKS is good, but price seems steep and paying for the name, not performance.

The samco turbo intake pipe is highly regarded in Oz & recommended by numerous tuners here. There have been no tuning issues from my old tuners perspective & no threads complaining of collapses. There was talk of this happening to older style (Subaru) Perrin's intakes when using the oem stock box. It was due to the turbo sucking the air it needed through a small opening. This has been rectified by Perrin & they have had great success with their complete Evo intake.
Hope this helps mate.
Regards Steve

I did read of the HKS filters not "filtering" so well, but was talking more of the intake tube itself, not the filter element in this regard. Though information on the filters also is helping me decide which next to purchase.
Thanks for the input everyone! Anyone else?

Dont have pictures right now but I did a quick measure.
Perrin intake tube is 10.5" from end to end.
Stock intake tube is 11".
Keep in mind, Perrin intake system uses maf adapter and the air filter is HUGE!
