Air Filter

Is there a downside to running a larger filter on a stock 8 turbo?

The reason I ask is because I recently switched from a buschur to a K & N 8".

Any pros and cons to this setup?

Pro's, more air. Cons, more air, usually doesn't screw with the MAF readings but when used with an aftermarket MAF pipe it can create low engine speed issues. (stalling etc). Not usually an issue just with the filter itself though. Check out the reviews of some of the people running Perrin filter. Just my .02

I am curious what the complete intake setup on your car is? Are you running the stock intake pipe, etc.? You have to be careful with the K&N´s that they not be overoiled.

What buschur filter did you have? and why did you switch?

If it was the old smaller one, that filter is money!

I have the Buschur MAF Pipe on the car. The Buschur filter is the newest style (silver color). I switched because I opted for a closed ended filter.
