intake question

I have an aem intake. It was on the car when i bought it. my car runs great but i noticed their is a vent on the bypass valve on the intake that nothing was hooked up to it was left open. I looked up installation instruction to see what to see what it was suppose to connect to. i found that their is a hose that goes on their and it connects to another hose. but i looked and their is nothing. i think it was never hooked up. but i dont know where the other end of the hose is. maybe its connected to something else? juse wanted and opinion on what i should do with that vent cuz i dont want dirt getting in their.

Pictures will help you explain this. But are you trying to say that the recirc hose is not hooked up to the intake?

hmm yeah, either the recirc hose off the bov isn't hooked up, or it could be the valve cover breather hose. What's the approx. size of this hose?

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
Auto parts store with and get a section of straight rubber piping (radiator type will do). Return the Evo to a recirculated system. VTA on a MAF setup doesn't work.

Sounds like you're talking about the recirculation hole. If it's big enough for one side of your blow off valve to fit in, do like he said above with radiator type hose. If it is a larger sized "nipple", then it's probably for the pcv valve hose that goes into the intake.
