I always remembered the Cherry Bombs to be really loud and raspy. But these muffs look like real mufflers, not like the old red tubes.

Doesn't look too high flow to me. I'll keep my straight pipes.

Agreed, also its alluminized and not stainless steel.

I suggest getting the Vibrant muffler. Search on Ebay "Vibrant Muffler" and you can get it for 115 shipped.

Here is mine that I will be using, its 3" inlet and not 3" outlet like some mufflers are.

+1...it looks like it restricts the flow a bit. You want as smooth of flow as possible. The Vibrant looks pretty sweet. Straight through design but with all the qualities of a real muffler.

I havent installed it yet.

What I'm going to do is install this muffler at the rear of the car and the buschur bullet muffler at the test pipe location. Hopefully both working together will be a very quiet setup.

Now just by tapping on the muffler, it seems to be very densly packed. The cobb muffler (when I had the cobb turbo back) was also the same but this one is slightly larger in legnth. But it will be the combinatio of 2 mufflers that should make my setup quieter than the cobb.

I probably wont be done for another month but I will make a thread on my custom setup and try to include as much detailed info as I can.

The only Cherry Bomb I ever put on a car was a straight up old school glass pack. I had a custom 3" exhaust on my old 95 GSX. No resonators, straight as we could get it, and for the muffler I put a fire red 18" Cherry Bomb Glass pack on it.

I have not had as many compliments on the exhaust note of all my other cars combined, as I did on that 95 GSX with that glass pack.

That muffler however, looks like a bad Magnaflow is all.

This is the link to the ebay sale. I got it from them, and they shipped it very quickly with tracking info.
