i would deffinately go with the Buschur cams. EvoLunchbox's car I am pretty sure is running them and I watched him lay down 701 on buschurs dyno at the shootout with the Buschur stroker motor.

From the testing that david did, the tomei cams lost A TON of mid range power compared to the bf cams. The only place they shined was up around 8 or 9k where a stroker motor rarely, if ever sees.

the tomie 280 cams will make more power then the bf272 cams will. but spoolup and mid range will be much sooner/stronger with the bf272 cams. the tomie cams are a laggy cam geared only tord topend. the tomie cams are meant more for drag and all out top end power.

I would use the BF272 with the 2.3L.. you are not going to get into the RPMs wherer the Tomeis actually make good power.. We ran the BF272 in our 8 second RS.. They worked great!!!

EvoLunchBox Runs Jun272 cams.. but anyways...

For your setup, I would definitely use the BF272s, which will give you so much better low end and mid range and won't lose too much spool down low.. You also do not need any aftermarket cam gears to adjust these as these are already in spec at 0/0 If this was ONLY a drag car, then Tomeis would be a nice consideration, but still.. David Buschur's car is a drag car and runs the BF272s on a high reving 2.0L.. Although their black drag car runs the Tomei 280s, but it is ONLY a drag car.. I hope this helps.

Now... From reading this... This completely changes everything.. To be honest, I'm not quite sure that the BF272s will make more power than GSC S2's.. According to specs, the GSC S2's would make more power.. but it is hard to say, since they have never been compared...

To be honest...imo I don't really care about the test anymore.
I care more about the track (1/4 mile)times!
Good Luck bro!

From my understanding, there are no official specs for the BF272's unless someone has measured them.

I would agree with others and say that the BF272s would be better suited for a 2.3L
