Shell Helix Ultra

Has anyone tried Shell Helix Ultra, full synthetic, 5W-40 engine oil, in his/her Evo? This oil is the Ferrari factory fill. Is it even available in the USA? Any thoughts or comments? Thanks!

I appreciate your opinion. However, in my particular case, AMSOIL, is not an option. I live outside the U.S. and AMSOIL lubricants are not available in my country.

Keep the Mobil 1 brand , you will never have a problem with it.

Never used it, but I can tell you the Helix that the Ferrari factory uses in the Enzo is $60 a quart.

Seems like extreme overkill for our application seeing how high those cars rev. Like Rob said the mobile 1 is fine. But to answer your question I haven't tried the helix. But AMSOIL I still think is the best. Everything in my drivetrain swims in it.

Since no one is really helping you out, you might want to as Al (dynoflash) I believe he has ran this oil in the past. I also remember him running the Shell Helix tranny oil.

very popular over here in the UK. Lots of garages, most dealerships use it.
