Exclamation exedy twin not releasing

hey guys, i've had my exedy twin disk in the car for about 1000miles. I have not had any real issues until i got the clutch warm.Tonight I lightly launched the car a few times. After the second launch from about 4000 the car locked me out of all gears and now it will not disengauge all the way. I say this because when the car is in neutral and i try to force it into first the car will try to roll forward a little bit. What could have gone wrong?? Ive bled the clutch and adjusted the rod all the way out. nothing helps

Probably the retainer clip broke or came loose.

That would be the clip he is talking about.

Where is the clutch fork in relation to the cutout in the trans? Does the fork move when you push the clutch in?

When this happens does the trans have to come back out to reinstall the clip?

Yes it does. Another member on here, evovin, knows all about this problem. If this turns out to be the problem, he came up with a decent fix...

the retainer clip is not broken the tob is still clipped in fine. My friend had an idea to heat the clutch up by slipping it with the e brake on for about 30 seconds. at that point the car would go into 1st and second a bit notchy but it would go in. THe second the clutch cooled it was locked out again. Could one of the disks or something in the clutch be sticking together.

happens to me in a quarter master clutch, one of the discs meltdown because i slip it to much in a few launches and metalic particules of the disc bond in the steel plates causing fully engage since it dont have clearance to release.

I got the AMS push style upgrade that coverts it from the pull style so this can never happen again. Happen twice to me...never again.
