HFS-5, Maximum methanol to fuel ratio?

Hello,

Planning to buy an HFS-5 wai kit. I'll use denatured alcohol, wich consists of 75% ethanol, 15% methanol and 10% water. So it's basically 90/10 alky/water. I'll use it either with the stock turbo or with the fp red.

My question is what's the maximum methanol to fuel ratio can i run with this kit??

Tks

2x 1.0mm jets which would be about 27% if I'm not mistaken. More than enough to make awesome power!

you can run as much meth as you want. I run 100% meth. I get m1 from a local drag track that has it for 4.25 a gal. I have a 1mm and a .75-.8mm nozzles running at the same time.

I heard that some people are running upto 50% methanol to fuel ratio, would that be possible, and how?

Tks

I would think that it would be a matter of simply leaning out your fuel injectors and compensating with methanol. I would recommend finding a tuner who is well versed and make sure that it would be safe/plausible.

Well, my question is, is there any reason why i should not go above 30% methanol to fuel ratio?? any downsides for going upto 50%? (ie: atomization of the injected methanol ??)

Well You do have a 2.4L engine with a gt4088, I'm only intending to run it on a stock evo 9 turbo or fp red, so basically I'm not worried about the "physical" ability to run a 50% MFR, but rather about any problems that might occur from such a setup.

Anyone running 50/50 MFR?

Tks

Hehe, sweet

As i can see you have very good experience with meth, would you think a 50/50 MFR is possible when using HFS-5, by just mirroring the injectors?? (HFS-5 duty cycle to be the same as injectors duty cycle)

Tks

Yes you can tap into your factory injector duty. THis is actually one of the best ways of getting a linear consistent meth/water flow.
