has anyone tested this on an evo?

this guy has one and wants to trade me for my stock intercooler and idk i wanted to see what you guys thaught would this fit on an evo ix mr would it help my performance or is it just cheep and crap

Keep your stocker. Buy a DTM FMIC or a Buschur FMIC

I wouldn't trade a stock one for that.

 

I have one but never installed it because I'm lazy and have to go get pipes done. It looks good and the welds are decent. Fins are not as packed as the higher end ones as you might expect. I had a top bracket welded on to hold the actual piece in place since it has no brackets at all. Fitment is good but you're most likely going to have to have someone fabricate an upper I/C pipe to make it work.

 

Thats a universal core that'll require new piping and won't be a direct fit. Save your money and go with something that'll require less work like a perrin or ets.

 

I would just go ahead and get one the BR FMICs.
