Just curious, but day your engine spits the knock code, and let's say your engine is knocking? What do you do. And what will happen? Can of be saved I'm not very knowledgeable about this part of the evo so I wanted to learn more

There is no knock code......

The engine if knocking will pull timing until knock goes away, then add back in timing after the knock is gone.....(easiest way to put it).

Most times you may not feel it even happening.....unless its serious knock that has to pull a ton of timing to take it away, then you may feel a power loss. Only way to know is to log the car and see what is happening.....

The knock sensor is your safety line to keep from hurting a motor.

Can a boost or exhaust leaks result in the engine knocking??

My car was running perfectly when I had the stock spark plugs and ignition, but I added the HKS DLi and Denso IKH24, and then it starts to knock real bad, my tuner said it might be a boost or exhaust leak.

If your car was running perfectly until you changed plugs and ignition, then the knock is most likely caused by either one of the two items that you changed. I'd lean toward the DLI ignition either being defective or improperly installed.

Well I just did a boost leak test, and found nothing, after that I did a 1-4 gear pull and loged is, and found no knock what so ever only the shift knock that is there.
