bov question.
bov question.
I have a greddy rs bov on my uicp. And i have a aem intake and the stock bov is still on their and recirculated. It was set up this way when i bought the car. what is the correct way to have this set up. do i need to cap the spot where the stock bov is on the intake and icp or what do i do. I am kinda new to this so i would appreciate some help. car runs great just doesnt seem right to me to have both of them set up this way.
There should only be one bov on there in your situation. Take one of them off and recirculate it into the intake, I personally prefer the stock metal valves to any of the many aftermarket ones I've tried.
LOL wow 2 bov's....take the stocker off, and cap it if u wanna hear the whoosh...if not, take the stocker off and recirculate the greddy valve....u'll prob have to order the kit for it though....do post a pic w/both valves before u do anything

Ya The guy i bought i from was a dip****! what is the best way to cap them? i am gonna cap the one on the intake and icp for now til i get a recirculation kit. is their any downsides to not ricirculating it?
Haha that's weird, the bov on the uicp should recirculate back to the intake tube. How does the car drive like that? If u run with VTA it will run rich between every shift. And idle sucks! Also need to tune it.

listen, don't let anyone tell u all these issues they have with vta....i've ran the greddy type s vta on an eclipse, wrx, and now my evo with no issues....if there are any slight issues, u won't even notice it
The reason WRX's and STi's aren't so picky is because of the different type of maf and it's placement in the system. Do a search on here and see how many threads you find with "Help! My car keeps stalling!" in them.
