My shop is $45.00 a hour!!! And I have been speacializing in dsm's / evo's / subarus for 5+ years now. I am the only one at my shop so u always get to talk to the guy that does the work on ur car!!

 

Eh, an out of town shop charges $80/ hour for labor. They told me they'll install a clutch for ~$700.

 

DG Motors charges 450$

Most shops here on Long Island, New York range from 450$-550$. I believe that is an honest price.

Evo clutch jobs are time consuming and are not the most labor friendly

 

i paid 700$ for clutch install, upper and lower ss clutch line install, underhood shifter bushings install, and the fluids in my tranny, transfer case, and rear diff changed....and a guarentee

 

You either have no overhead or you're not going to last long.

 

Going to the how to section on this and other forums... Free. Getting a good set of tools that'll allow you to tackle the project... $300. Having a tech come by to make sure you're not f-ing it up... $50 and a sixer. Not having to pay $750 to have someone do what you should be doing yourself... Priceless.

 

An Evo clutch job pays 8.0 hours. At $95 an hour, that comes out to $760. We have ran the clutch labor special for quite some time now if you buy the clutch from us.

 

While i think 750 is a lot, you can;t say a bad thing about Chad and CBRD. I have personally never read anything bad or heard anything bad about CBRD. It's all about over head costs and knowing what your getting for your dollar.

After all think about how much floor cleaning products cost to keep Chads facility looking the way it does!

750 is still cheap-did you call a mitsu dealer and inquire about labor quote? dealer wants like $1200-1300 here in zoo jersey for IX clutch install, plus have any of you "cheap cry babies" installed a clutch on an evo? when i hear people saying it's only 4-5hrs--- i'm like-ok-you do it then .

 

My dealer in va wanted 1600 for the clutch and labor time, im getting the labor done as we speak for 525
