MBC problem, help!

alright it's a turbo xs mbc, i set it to 21 psi since i bought it back in April. (couple weeks ago it was like 30-40 degrees outside and it stayed at 21-22ish) so today it was like -7 and i am on the freeway heading to the movies to see Gran Torino (bad *** movie) in 5th gear doing a "pull" and the boost level stayed at 21 for a little bit, then boost started increasing to 27psi! WTF i did turned it down same thing happens! is the cold a factor contributing to this situation?

yup..most likely. I'm not 100% familiar with the turbo xs but I imagine it's a ball and spring type mbc. It wouldn't hurt to dissasemble it and put a very light coat of oil on the ball bearing. I have heard of them sticking causing over boosting problems.

its boost creep, your wastegate cant flow enough air around the turbine housing. its common when its really cold out. do you have an upgraded O2 housing?
